It looks like Joshua is porting pixi.js directly to Haxe, pixi.hx, providing a “super fast HTML5 2D rendering engine that uses webGL with a canvas fallback”.

But a few days before Joshua’s tweet of pixi.hx, Vadim Introduced OpenFL-bitfive, “an alternative backend to OpenFL HTML5” which assists you in “creating HTML5 games”. He goes into a lot of detail, comparing between openfl-html5 and openfl-bitfive file size, garbage collection and fps.

Oleg has released Slice the Box created with OpenFL. Checkout the game announcement for more info in Russian.

Not Haxe news, but Minko, the “robust, extensible, design rich, interactive and universal 3D IDE” can now compile from cpp to stage3D and more. Let’s hope some sort of Haxe output will get added.
